At Tower Games, you’ll find a wide selection of board and role playing games. However, there are a few that, for us and other Minneapolis gamers, stand above the rest. Here are some of the games you’re more likely to see being played at Tower:

Dungeons & Dragons

First published more than 40 years ago, Dungeons & Dragons is the world’s oldest fantasy roleplaying game. In D&D, you’ll battle orcs and dragons, brawl your way through local bars, rescue princesses, or plunder ancient burial grounds filled with priceless treasure. You create the character, and your Dungeon Master (the person controlling the world around your character) does the rest.

Every Wednesday at Tower Games we host a D&D Encounters night — short game sessions geared toward new and casual players.

From Paizo Games comes Pathfinder, a roleplaying game based on the 3.5 edition of Dungeons & Dragons but designed based on the feedback of tens of thousands of gamers.

As one of the proud homes of the Pathfinder Society, Tower Games has open tables for Pathfinder every Saturday afternoon.

Settlers of Catan

Also known by its shorter name, Catan, this multiplayer board game from Germany places you in the role of a fearless settler arriving in a new land. However, you’re not alone; other settlers have also arrived, and they’re collecting resources you’ll need to build roads and grow your settlements. Let the bartering begin!

Catan is likely to be seen on any number of tables during our weekly Board Game Nights.
